How I found love...
When my marriage broke up I was devastated. I'd expected to be married forever. It's not easy suddenly finding yourself back on the dating scene again. I didn't know where to start. I felt lonely, I hated living on my own. At first I thought I would never have another relationship but as time went on I found that I just wasn't comfortable on my own. I needed a friend and a lover but I wasn't about to make the same mistakes I made last time.
At first I tried going to bars and clubs. In some ways that was really helpful. I enjoyed going out with a few girlfriends and meeting new people. Letting my hair down. I hadn't been out to boogie for years and it was fun. I met a few men but they weren't the type I was looking for. I'd had my fill of self obsessed men who never grew up. I wanted a real man this time. A real grown up man who wouldn't run away at the first sign of trouble. None of the men I met at the clubs fitted the bill.

Nothing heavy I felt safe, it was all at my pace. I didn't share any of my private details until I felt comfortable. The other really good thing were the people in the files. There was such a variety. Stockbrokers, bankers, company directors, builders, plumbers, shop owners. People interested in wine and opera, people who liked a night in with a beer and the footie.
I swapped emails with a few people then I met Andy. We clicked immediately. We emailed at first but soon progressed to phone calls. We talked for hours on the phone, we had so much in common. Then we met. That was a bit nerve racking but it all went so much better than I could have hoped. We've been dating for a few months now and things are lovely. Thank you!
